Gulab Jamun with Rabri

🍯✨ Gulab Jamun with Rabri – A Royal Indian Dessert! 🍮💛

Indulge in the heavenly combination of soft, syrup-soaked Gulab Jamun and rich, creamy Rabri – a dessert that melts in your mouth and fills your heart with sweetness! 😋💖

Ingredients:

🍩 For Gulab Jamun:

  • 1 cup khoya (mawa)

  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour (maida)

  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

  • 2 tablespoons milk (as needed to knead)

  • Oil or ghee for deep frying

🍯 For Sugar Syrup:

  • 1½ cups sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • ½ teaspoon cardamom powder

  • A few saffron strands (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon rose water

🥛 For Rabri:

  • 1 liter full-fat milk

  • ¼ cup sugar

  • ½ teaspoon cardamom powder

  • A few saffron strands

  • Chopped almonds & pistachios for garnish

Instructions:

1️⃣ Prepare Sugar Syrup: Boil sugar and water together until slightly sticky. Add cardamom, saffron, and rose water. Keep warm.

2️⃣ Make Gulab Jamun Dough: Mix khoya, flour, and baking soda. Knead gently with milk into a soft, smooth dough. Shape into small balls.

3️⃣ Fry Gulab Jamun: Heat oil/ghee on low-medium flame. Fry jamuns until golden brown. Soak them in warm sugar syrup for at least 1 hour.

4️⃣ Prepare Rabri: Boil milk in a heavy pan, stirring continuously until it reduces to half. Add sugar, cardamom, and saffron. Simmer until thick and creamy.

5️⃣ Assemble & Serve: Place Gulab Jamun in a bowl and pour chilled Rabri over it. Garnish with nuts & enjoy this royal treat! 🍮✨
