Vegetable Pulao

Easy Vegetable Pulao – Wholesome & Flavorful!

🧺 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup basmati rice (washed & soaked for 20 mins)

  • 2 tbsp oil or ghee

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 1 small cinnamon stick

  • 2-3 cloves

  • 1 small onion, sliced

  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, beans)

  • Salt to taste 🧂

  • 2 cups water

  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish 🌿


👨‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Heat oil/ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon, and cloves. Let them sizzle.

  2. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.

  3. Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.

  4. Add the frozen vegetables and sauté for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender.

  5. Mix in soaked rice and gently stir everything together.

  6. Add 2 cups of water and salt. Cover and cook on medium-low heat until rice is fluffy and water is absorbed (about 15 minutes).

  7. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork.

  8. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with raita or pickle! 🥒🍋
